Is this the latest version of the Protector Ultra? This is the Protector Ultra 2.0 GTX. A newer 2.1 GTX exists in some markets. Does the Protector Ultra 2.0 GTX stop a chainsaw? No boot is "chainsaw-proof." The 2.0 GTX is certified to EN ISO 17249:2013 Class 2 — 24 m/s chain speed — which means the clogging layers stop the chain from cutting through to the leg in a test strike at that speed.
