Shipping Policy

Tasmanian Safety Supplies – Online Store

1. Where We Ship

Tasmanian Safety Supplies ships orders to:

  • All of Tasmania
  • All other Australian states and territories

We do not currently ship internationally.


2. Processing Times

  • Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days after payment is received.
  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.

If there is a delay with your order (stock issue, large quantity, etc.), we will contact you as soon as possible.


3. Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We use reputable carriers such as [Australia Post / StarTrack / TNT / CouriersPlease / etc.].

Estimated delivery times (once dispatched):

  • Launceston & surrounding areas: approx. 1–2 business days
  • Rest of Tasmania: approx. 2–5 business days
  • Mainland Australia (metro): approx. 5–10 business days
  • Regional & remote areas: may take longer

These timeframes are estimates only and can be affected by courier delays, weather events, public holidays and other factors outside our control.


4. Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Delivery address
  • Order weight and/or size
  • Selected shipping method

From time to time we may offer free or discounted shipping promotions, which will be clearly advertised on our website.

If you are local to Launceston and surrounding areas, we may offer free or reduced-rate delivery on qualifying orders – details will be shown at checkout where applicable.


5. Bulky, Heavy or Dangerous Goods

Some items (e.g. bulk orders, heavy items, or products classified as Dangerous Goods) may:

  • Incur additional shipping charges, and/or
  • Require specific carriers or delivery arrangements

If extra charges apply, we will contact you for approval before processing your order. You may choose to proceed with the revised shipping cost or cancel for a full refund.


6. Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details (where available).

  • You can use this tracking link to follow the progress of your delivery.
  • If tracking shows delivered but you have not received your order, contact the courier first, then contact us if it remains unresolved.

7. Delivery Issues

Wrong or Incomplete Address

Please check your shipping details carefully at checkout.

  • If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, re-delivery fees may apply.
  • If the parcel is delivered to the wrong address you provided, we cannot guarantee recovery or replacement.

Missed Deliveries & Authority to Leave

Depending on the courier and service:

  • A signature may be required on delivery; or
  • Parcels may be left in a safe place (Authority to Leave) if selected or permitted by the carrier.

If a card is left and your parcel goes to a collection point, it is your responsibility to collect it within the timeframe specified by the courier.


8. Lost or Damaged Parcels

If your order arrives damaged or appears to be lost in transit:

  1. Damaged on arrival

    • Take clear photos of the packaging and product
    • Contact us within 3 business days of delivery at [your email] with your order number and photos
  2. Lost in transit

    • Check tracking and your local post office/collection point
    • Contact us at [your email] with your order number if the parcel has not moved for an extended period or is shown as delivered but not received

We will work with the courier to investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refunds & Returns Policy and Australian Consumer Law.


9. Click & Collect / Local Pickup (If Offered)

If you offer pickup, include this section. If not, delete it.

We may offer Click & Collect / Local Pickup from our location in [Prospect, Tasmania]:

  • Select Local Pickup at checkout (if available).
  • Wait for your Ready for Pickup email before coming to collect.
  • Bring your order confirmation and photo ID.



10. International Orders

We currently do not ship outside Australia.
