The BAD Women's Waterproof Rain-Defend™ Hi-Vis Fleece Hoodie takes the same patented waterproof, windproof Rain-Defend™ shell that made the original a tradie favourite and cuts it for a woman's body. No more swimming in a men's medium that's baggy in the chest and too long in the arms — this is built around a women's fit that actually moves with you on site, in the yard, on the boat, or walking the dog through a Tassie winter downpour.

How the waterproofing works

The outer shell is a genuine waterproof and windproof barrier bonded to a heavyweight, extra-thick fleece lining. Rain beads and runs off instead of soaking in, and wind can't cut through to steal your body heat. That matters more than people realise — it's wind chill that freezes you on an exposed site or a waterfront, not the air temperature. You stay warm and dry for the full shift, not just the first hour.

Pockets that earn their place

Every pocket on this hoodie is useful, not decorative. The front pouch has an internal waterproof zip pocket for your phone, so it survives the rain even when the rest of your gear doesn't. There's a right chest pocket, pen and utility pockets on the left sleeve for the tools you reach for most, and two side pockets. The hood is lined and adjustable with a drawstring, and the elasticated wrists and waist capture heat instead of letting it escape.

Hi-vis colours plus pink

Available in hi-vis orange and hi-vis yellow for site compliance, plus black for off-site wear and — the one that turns heads — hi-vis pink. The pink is a proper hi-vis fluorescent, not a fashion shade, so it works on sites that require high-visibility gear but lets you stand out from the sea of orange. Sized XS through 2XL.

Sizing

The women's cut runs true to size for a fitted workwear layer. If you plan to wear a thick long-sleeve or a light puffer underneath, go up one size for layering room. The elasticated waist means it sits close without being restrictive.

Care

Cold wash and line dry only. The waterproof membrane will break down if you tumble dry it or wash it hot — treat it like technical gear and it lasts for seasons.
